I've had gator tail that was terrible and I've had it that was scrumptious. I really think the difference is in the way it is treated from the time the gator is killed until it is cooked.
The best I ever had was from a little five footer that my grandson cleaned immediately after the dirty deed. He marinated it in buttermilk for a day or two after cleaning it, then cut it into nuggets and deep fried it. It was wonderful.

Wild hogs can be very good. We kill enough of them each year to feed a small army, but mostly just leave them for the buzzards.

Wild turkey is so much better than store bought ones that it's almost like they're not the same bird.
