International trade is not and never has been a zero-sum game. To consider it such and act on that is beyond stupid. It has not been a mystery for several centuries.
This is partly true, and some countries have been able to slowly bleed their trading partners to death when the advantages are too extreme. So it is in no way stupid for Trump to act on our behalf to improve a massive foreign trade deficit. And the huge commitments by foreign companies to build plants and create jobs here in the U.S. prove it is already helping to keep a fair balance. This will also make us less dependent upon our adversaries and help national security. Under the old and stupid Trade deals, some consumers got cheaper goods, but at the expense of millions of U.S. manufacturing workers who lost jobs or had to settle for lower wages. Fewer taxpayers paying less in income taxes while Federal and State spending increased led to huge and unsustainable deficits. Trump was happy to renegotiate NAFTA during his first term, and signed the new agreement. But when he noticed that Canada and other countries were still doing end-runs to keep their unfair advantage, he wasn't dumb enough to say, "Well, I signed that and it didn't go far enough to protect our interests... so I'll just live with it." He will continue to tweak things rather than taking daily naps and falling down. Trump is acting in the interests of this country, and that will never make those with TDS happy.
As the Mid-terms approach, we can expect all of our Closet Democrats to make a huge deal about 3.2% food inflation and $3.79 gas when they were totally silent about the Biden era massive increase to the M2 Money Supply that spiked inflation and eroded the value of every dollar by 20-25%. It made inflation adjusted gas and diesel prices much higher than they are now too.
I am still wondering why Dr. Wanker and other Closet Democrats insist on moving a discussion about harassment of gun owners at the Canadian Border into the very Off-Topic Politics they always whine about???
At least we all know they have the integrity to not attempt to get anyone banned or censored for mentioning their hypocrisy! Well actually, they don't. On another forum I visit, they make it easy for dummies to spot sarcasm by putting the words in Purple.
