Lovely Buffalo Horn forward Underlever type along with Wedge Fastner Forend, holdover from Muzzleloaders. >>Not from Flintenkalle's files, but from H.J.Fritze's book "Suhl - Heimat der Büchsenmacher: Emil Eckoldt, Judithstr.15, Suhl, born March 7, 1855. Opened his own shop, later called a "Factory", in 1876. Died August 16, 1930. Business taken over by son Hugo Eckoldt, together with Robert Schilling. Moved between 1932-34 to Judithstr.57. From 1934 on they made the double barreled, light alloy signal pistol model "L", 4 gauge, for the Luftwaffe, besides making sporting guns . Still listed under the 23 Suhl factories by the US forces on April 13,1945. In 1946 three persons still worked in the Eckoldt shop, making "Reparation" shotguns for the Soviets. In the early 1950s Ecko ceased to exist.<< https://www.doublegunshop.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=277288Serbus, Raimey rse

Emil Eckoldt was born on March 7th, 1855 and made his last file on August 16th, 1930. He hung out his Gunmaking Shingle in 1876, about the time Schoverling & Daly started to gain traction after selling »Skimpies and Flimsies« @ Böker. So Emil Eckoldt was a supplier to the trade of actions & components. Although Emil Eckoldt may not have had the Kerner-Anson Body Action Platform as his Brainchild, Emil Eckoldt did have D.R.P.s #120803, #152600 and a D.R.G.M. for a barrel selector & sight device. Um, I was thinking of Ernst Kerner and attempted to mix the names...

>>Not from Flintenkalle's files, but from H.J.Fritze's book "Suhl - Heimat der Büchsenmacher" This utterly elusive and often referred 'magnum opus' of "Flintenkalle" a.k.a. Karl Pape from Braunschweig (Brunswick), who is lovingly presented here: https://germanhuntingguns.com/travel-destinations-in-central-europe/gemutlichkeit/bears a mysterious character. Evidently, it is not a published book. Is it a private print, is it a DVD oder older CD? How could one acquire it? Thank you, Carcano

It is a private document being a compilation of mechanic info accumulated thru the years and must be gifted as far as I know.

Too, I think the thought was one day it may be published, but I am confident that train has sailed.
It is nothing but a cryptic Word Doc, from what I am aware.
Now several years back there was an effort to made 100 or 400 copies, I can't recall exactly, of gunmaker info or similar that was pressed on CDs, but I didn't commit @ the last minute and not sure what is on them. I know the German Gun Collector's Association chipped in & made a purchase.
