I have searched and searched and cannot find the thread where Michael P. went into detail on his rifle racks, including plans. I have all the photos, which is probably enough, but I'd like to make his exactly. If anyone has that link I'd appreciate it.

Michael helped me when I was building my vault more than eight years ago, sent me the photos of his gun room. If it went any farther than sending the photos, I don't remember. I don't even remember how to get the old posts on this site. It might have included emails also. Getting old is not for amateurs.

Thanks eightbore - there are several threads with interior photos of his gun room and I remember one where he posted measured drawings of how he designed the racks which was pretty cool, but can't find them now. I know he spaced rifles 4" apart and barrels 4" from the wall - that's basically all you need I guess.

Thanks, Ryan. It's amazing how much Michael's gun room looks like mine. The two level gun racks were his idea and I made my racks just like his except mine have open ends at the muzzles. Michael told me that he had to confine the muzzles because of the earthquake activity in Alaska. He said if he had open ends, his guns would all be on the floor in a pile. Thanks so much for sending me that thread. Now I will go on the hunt for old emails and thread messages from Michael. I brought the old thread to the top, title "Remembering Michael Petrov".
