Sometimes a grade school kid is more informed than adults, and this appears to be one of those times. Trump‘s war as you call it was not started because of oil it was because of a 47 year war that Iran already had with the United States. This has been going on since the Carter administration and once they had uranium developed to over 60% it’s not far from being a nuclear weapon.

So Trump‘s war, again as you claim it was to stop the progression of nuclear technology in a Third World country, such as Iran. If you think for a second that Iran wouldn’t deploy a nuclear weapon upon getting one you got another think coming.

Furthermore, you obviously don’t have any clue about why the fuel prices have gone up due to the Strait of Hormuz being blocked by Iran. That was done because of the war that you say was caused by Trump. That counts for less than 5% of the oil America gets from that region.

Blame it on the war that’s what people like you do. Where were you when Obama shut down the Keystone XL pipeline? You probably don’t know that either, but there was more oil in the Bakken then in the middle east. There’s still billions of barrels of oil untouched in the Bakken region that we shouldn’t need to use foreign imports when we’ve got that kind of resource locally. But Obama made sure we’re not getting that. Then Biden shut down all oil exploration in the Gulf of Mexico. You don’t think that has an effect on the oil availability and price?

You don’t like Trump, I’m not telling you to like him, just don’t be stupid about what the international effect there is in oil!

Bill, you've been here since '08. You have to know by now that rational, factual, considered comments on this forum are simply pissin' into the wind.

Go have a big glass of the orange kool-aid realize the error of your misguided ways.

High fuel price is temporary.

Muslims with nukes would also be temporary.

Gas prices are more conversation. I don't know anybody going broke or not eating over fuel cost.

People in the past have had harder times than our lives now.

I see more deer and those filthy Canadian invaders (Canada goose) during a round of golf than I ever see in the wild. I do tend to agree with you on the roads though. If you can’t hack humping through the wilderness, tough. Take up pickleball.

Muslims have nukes, and have had them for sometime now. So does North Korea.

Things may have been worse in the past, but it is a mess right now.

What was that question pollsters like to ask before elections? Now I recall, "were you better off 2 years ago?" I sure was, in a multitude of of ways.

Bill, just because Wonko laps up this tripe like it's candy, why don't you tell him, who's making these roads and where are they? Make me see, and I will apologize to you personally for any misconceptions or outright lies that you can reveal.

Fair warning Bill, point me to maps and facts, not yours or cosmo's feelings. I want to know what you mean by healthy habitat, and how it's becoming unhealthy. Can you shoot geese at your local golf course, I'm all in on a 22lr night pest control shoot.

craig, suspending the roadless rule removes protection for over 6 million acres of federal land in Montana alone. It will lead to logging and development which fragments habitat, especially habitat needed for grizzly bears and elk though 56% of other endangered species are also affected. It will increase wildfire danger and degrade water quality. Opening more and more public land to commercial exploitation makes outdoor recreation less and less possible. The general quality of hunting and fishing is in serious decline. What i mean by healthy habitat is what sustains healthy populations of game-- for their own sake and for our pursuit of them. Don't take my word for it. Read Aldo Leopold.

I Like your passion...but you've got some things wrong, starting with the use of the word "will" in your 2nd sentence. Could, may, might, etc. is much more appropriate.

Also, logging - as it's done in 2026 in the US - is typically more beneficial than not.

The claim about increased wildfire danger is speculative.

So is the one about water quality.

Open in land to public use - not "commercial exploitation" is more likely to be good than to cause harm.

The general quality of hunting and fishing is most definitely not in serious decline where I live...maybe it is where you live, but I doubt it's worse than it was in the 1960s and 1970s when the things we've done since then to improve the environment and habitat started.
