craig, suspending the roadless rule removes protection for over 6 million acres of federal land in Montana alone. It will lead to logging and development which fragments habitat, especially habitat needed for grizzly bears and elk though 56% of other endangered species are also affected. It will increase wildfire danger and degrade water quality. Opening more and more public land to commercial exploitation makes outdoor recreation less and less possible. The general quality of hunting and fishing is in serious decline. What i mean by healthy habitat is what sustains healthy populations of game-- for their own sake and for our pursuit of them. Don't take my word for it. Read Aldo Leopold. Good Lord. Another flat earth society monoculture advocate. https://ruffedgrousesociety.org/in-the-habitat-business/Best, Ted ________________________________________________________________________ What part of preparing kids for remedial third grade reading and math classes when they got to college was your part, Bill?

Don't take my word for it. Read Aldo Leopold. I asked you not to bs me with your feelings, it is no surprise that there is a hard, non negotiable divide in the US today. Clearly, you did not read the actual order. Open your eyes and see, that you can go directly to the source, and do not have to parrot orgs that make you a useful idiot. I profusely apologize for asking you to present some facts. I might skip a little golfing, you drive down skid row Missoula and stir some feelings in you, before you drive off to the burbs. Line by line, you try to push lies. By the way, doesn't your little echo chamber confirm, there are more grizzlies in Montana today, than in 1900. And, elk already have plenty of habitat, it's called trophy ranches posted by your cali buddies.

Muslims with nukes would also be temporary. I think I understand what you meant but maybe Islamist or radical Islamist would be more accurate. I know a number of Muslims that have sacrificed more and shed more blood for this country than more than a few members of this board. _____________________________ Proudly served with a couple of them and would again in a heartbeat.

Careful, the Christian Nationalists will be along shortly to warn you of the threat that other religions pose. Oh Darn, my bad, it's Commies that we need to fear this election cycle. I'll get it one of these days

Ted, I have a hard time guessing what a monoculture advocate might be , but your post rivals Craig's for sheer incoherence. My preparation of kids for college was teaching advanced placement English. My students did well. Your grumpy reply is an easy out. We could have a real discussion about the merits of preservation vs development. PS: Whenever I piss Craig off, he puts his brain in park and floors it, making a lot a noise but going nowhere.

Shrapnel, If you think Trump's war isn't responsible for fuel prices, please explain the true cause. Craig, if you think punching roads through healthy habitat makes no difference, take up golf. There are none so blind as those who will not see. Trump's war is responsible for a fraction of increased fuel prices. However, there's a huge difference between Trump's increased fuel costs and the much larger costs that Biden and Democrats created for no good reason. The Iran war is a temporary sacrifice to dramatically reduce or eliminate the threat posed by Radical Islamists getting and using nuclear weapons and sponsoring global terrorism for the last 47 years. Some immature folks want instant gratification, while Trump is taking a path of crippling Iran militarily at first, and then resorting to choking their economy. He wisely chose this over putting troops on the ground which would certainly result in a lot of dead American soldiers. Thoughtful intelligent people would choose a bit of patience over sacrificing a bunch of dead soldiers. Crybaby Democrats are crying because the war is taking too much time, and they would cry even more if Trump ordered a costly ground invasion to end it faster. Biden & Co. spiked fuel costs to level higher than they are now by sheer incompetence. He shut down the Keystone Pipeline, restricted offshore drilling and drilling in Alaska and on Federal lands. He increased lease and permit costs and taxes. Biden also banned LNG exports, and his failure to stop Putin's invasion of the Ukraine created huge demand for fuel which constrained supplies. But his overall inflation was the largest contributor to increased costs of fuel and everything else. It would have been even worse if Biden didn't drain our Strategic Petroleum Reserve in order to reduce prices a bit to help Democrats in the 2022 Mid-term elections. So right now, at least 25% of higher gas and diesel costs are solely due to Joe Biden Inflation. Let's not forget that Democrat Gov. Newsom's insane policies forced three California refineries to simply shut down. Add in the fact that Ukraine has been attacking Russian refineries causing Russia to halt exports of diesel fuel. Nitrah condensed it very well below. But a few gun owners goofy enough to vote for Anti-Gun Democrats will never admit it, and will never get over their Trump Derangement syndrome. These from the Bureau of Labor statistics after 2 years of Biden vs Trump
Food Gas Overall Biden +15% +69% +12.3%
Trump +3.7% +12% +4.3% There were zero complaints about high fuel costs and inflation from Rocky Mtn Bill and Princess SKB when Biden caused much higher costs than we are experiencing now.

Ted, PS: Whenever I piss Craig off, he puts his brain in park and floors it, making a lot a noise but going nowhere. Your awesome, aren't you Bill? Truly a legend in your own mind.
May God bless America and those who defend her.

My students did well. Your grumpy reply is an easy out. We could have a real discussion about the merits of preservation vs development. PS: Whenever I piss Craig off, he puts his brain in park and floors it, making a lot a noise but going nowhere. A monoculture advocate would be somebody who believes time stands still in the forest, and anything mankind does to utilize the resources in the forest is evil big business profit raping. They believe that any use of a forrest is inherently evil, and to be opposed with law at every juncture. That’s you Bill. Did you bother to open the link to the Ruffed Grouse Society and the explanation of logging on habitat? Do you realize that unlogged habitat eventually becomes a monoculture of mature forrest, that eventually becomes a clear cut of a different form, destroyed by fire? Do you grasp that a monoculture is almost completely devoid of wildlife? Do you grasp that almost all wildlife does better under managed conditions in a forrest that produces a checkerboard pattern of older growth, newer growth and clear cutting that provides openings in the forrest? Nobody is proposing building superhighways in the woods. I note your lack of capitalization and correct punctuation in your equally incoherent posts, and seriously question any notion that anyone did well under you as an instructor. I would have guessed that an advanced placement English instructor would take a bit of pride in his digital communication, and show us his skill in that regard. Silly me. Best, Ted
