Lowell, I don't know much about the two different shells, what I do know is that with some of the nontox the primers and wads would be different. If used in an older gun you could build up a lot more psi than recommended for your gun.
If you are not going to be shooting a lot,I would suggest you just buy what you need.
I'm guessing you are going to use it for waterfowl.
On steel loads there are sometimes as many as 4 different wad types and sometimes a buffer is added.
