Every one that I've disassembled was quite tight. As I thought, there is a tongue, or the like, on the trigger plate that slides into a grove at the top of the circle on the receiver. Also, watch for a small spring that works against the trigger plate which works the cylinder that keeps the toplever to the right when breached. Upon assembly, it is crucial to have the safety to mate the top tang correctly or you will be taking it apart again.
