Thanks for the help.

It turned out I had not noticed the screw that's almost hidden by the trigger guard. My trigger guard will turn 90 degrees and then hit on the front trigger at the base and at the tip. There's no way to spring the guard to clear the trigger, but I carefully backed out the screw & got the Flues apart in just a couple of minutes. 80 yrs of dirt inside the action and it still worked! Now the refinishing can begin.
