I was at Purdeys last week. They had a handful of new guns in stock - SXS & O/Us. They were OK. The metal-to-metal fit on a couple of the SxS was gappy around the locks. I don't know if I would accept that on a $130,000 gun.

I spent some time with the gunmaker mentioned by Snowleopard (not Purdey). He told me that Greener is turning out one of the best guns being made in the UK (after his).

And Snowleopard, are you the guy with the 28g Purdey SxS by the same name?
