Wow Egerton, you have some fantastic guns. Thanks for sharing. I didn't see that it was a deer head top lever at first. Incredible.

That tri-barrel is also nice. Just look at those relatively thin chamber walls and luvly arcaded fences. I bet it handles nicely. You see, Gery guns are well worth collecting with many being essentially on of the kind pieces.

Beautiful guns Egerton!
In 1980 I visited Mario Abbiatico and he let me hold the prototype of the Quattro Canne he was making. It was a .410 in the white and I remember it handled beautifully. Engineering wise consider they are single trigger with hammers for the top barrels, all barrels having different chokes. Two of the 17 I believe that were made are at the Beretta Museum in Gardone.
Maybe not for everyday hunting, but I wouldn't mind one for some quail shooting whenever I wasn't fondling it.

Beautiful guns,
Thank you for sharing. I don't like the combination of smoothbore with rifled bores as much possibly because of a misbalance between the different sizes of the bores. I find the tribore a well balanced looking gun especially with it's thin walls. THe Famars is indeed very special considering also the side lever

Silver: Check out the back cover of Dig's new book: "VINTAGE GUNS FOR THE MODERN SHOT" & see him pointing a four barrel Charles Lancaster that looks like it's a mile long. In the book starting at page 63 in a chapter he calls "Diversions and blind alleys" he goes into the philosophy of multi-barrelled guns. A three barrel Dickson trigger plate 20 bore, an Edwinson Green three barrel 12 bore, the Lancaster four barrel 12 bore & a one-of-a-kind James Purdey four barrel 20 bore circa 1883. I have never seen one in the flesh but it would be interesting to shoot one especially at clays.
Best Regards, George

I like them all and would love to have a three-barreled shotgun. What else could you expect from someone who owns five Drillings...
Cheers, Jani
