I don't know how to help others grieve except to let them know they're not alone and that we care. With respect, I'm uneasy with consolations of philosophy to friends who know life better than I so I just go and sip and listen.

Often friendship among men is too much of a commercial arrangement, of scratching backs, exchanging favours for profit. It's times like these that allow us to be the men we are or want to be and that's a blessing.
