I suggest that you do a search of this site for "Bo Whoop".
Just for the record I do not have "Bo Whoop" and I have never owned "Bo Whoop".

In a letter to Edgar B. Caldwell, Nash mentions that the serial number of the lost Bo Whoop was 31108. However, a search of the Fox factory records for that serial number shows it was a 30-inch A-Grade shipped to Supplee Biddle Hardware Co. in Philadelphia, July 16, 1926, definately not a ten pound Super-Fox!! The original Bo Whoop had a straight grip, no safety, and the name Nash Buckingham engraved on the left barrel. There has never been any mention of its engraving, and none of the old pictures are close enough to really tell anything about the engraving or how much it had.

The serial number of the gun I looked at with Nash's name on the right barrel and Burt Becker's on the left was 31088. I could be mistaken as to which barrel held which inscription as I forget which way I was holding the gun when I looked at it, but the number is correct.

Researcher, has anyone bothered to request a letter on the "new number"? I'm not sure anyone has ever mentioned 31,088 as the correct serial number for the original "Bo Whoop". Reply to me by email if you prefer. We will get to the bottom of this mystery, maybe without travelling to South Carolina to meet George's friend who now owns this great gun, maybe today!

The people that have the Fox records should be able to tell what the serial number is.
I am looking for a picture of my son holding the gun I mentioned. As soon as I find it i will attempt to send it.
Any picture of a Fox Super is great.

Mr. Gunsmith, in reference to the comment about the choke on the gun, I recently read where someone actually patterned the #2 Bo Whoop gun and didn't have a very good result. As is often the case, I have no idea where I recently read that. I guess the next time we visit the DU Museum, we should bring bore micrometers.

The reason it probably did not pattern well was that they fired it with the 1.wrong make of 3 inch magnum 2.wrong shot size 3. they were lying about firing it. 4. someone fired steel shot from it and screwed up the choking.
Nash would not have had a gun that did not shoot well
Burt Becker would not have sent him a gun that did not shoot well.
