As one who has to wait on hold for over 45 min to order Beretta parts, I know their service simply isn't! Their cooporate attitude is one which also leaves much to be desired.
Regarding Merkel, from a gunsmiths point of view they are well engineered and designed, typically Teutonic. I do like the Greener crossbolt as well as the double underbite. Unfortunately I too think the change in ownership may well be simply another example of the rich buying a good company to milk it dry.
