There's an older gentleman from Northern Illinois that has bottles of real whale oil for sale. He managed to buy a vintage barrel of it years ago with all the legal paperwork and sells small bottles to antique gun folks at shows. I've got a bottle, kind of fun to use on my old Parkers.

Shotgunjones thanks for that intesting site. As old as this oil is, it is still clear, no smell, and a very thin consistancy.

What'd that bottle look like? Was it a plastic bottle with a label that looked like it was made on a copier?

Had a brown paper sack material looking label that just said whale oil. Clear plastic bottle with a white lid.
