Thanks for the compliments Raimey, it is in quite good condition. A WWII bringback, I bought it over the net from a gentleman in TX and it's everything he said it was. Dieter Apel photographed it for his database at the Vintners a few years back because he had never seen a safety like that.
I've seen drillings with 27-28" barrels (mine is 27") and ones with 23-24". I've always felt the longer barreled ones were made for hunters whose primary quarry was birds and the shorter for those whose primary quarry was not.
