I agree with Montana. This also happened to me with a 16 ga L.C. Smith, double trigger. Hunting with gloves on, a little thicker leather, but still flexible enought to shoot. A couple of times I felt my middle finger being hit by the trigger guard, it does feel smart. Couldn't figure out why.
Reason was, the gloves were a little too thick, and my finger was barely reaching the front trigger properly. Put on a thinner pair and it seems to have helped.
