I just purchased an 1884 Parker 12 gauge, Grade 4, Lifter Gun with an Infallible Single Trigger,Serial Number 41589 that I believe to be the "Peck's Bad Boy"/George W. Peck gun, that I've read several postings about from Eightbore, Daryl Hallquist and others on this board, and I'm trying to gather as much history and information about this gun and the Infallible Trigger as possible.
I'm wondering what all the guys on this board might be able to tell me about the history of this gun and about the silver dollar size that was once imbedded in the right side of the stockbut is now missing.
What can yuo guys tell me about the Lancaster Arms Company, and their Infallinle single triggers ?
Does anyone have any Infallible Trigger / Lancaster Arms pamphlets or catalogs they would be willing to sell or reprints I could buy ?
Thanks guys, Jim Kucaba Phoenix, AriZOona Phone: 602-439-2118 Email: Jim Kucaba@aol.com

OK, I found the thread where the "Peck's Bad Boy" was discussed and brought it to the top. Apparently, it is (or was) a gun with a reputation or an attitude that was mentioned in an old Infallible Trigger, Lancaster Arms brochure. I will try to find the reference but it may be buried deep. I think "Researcher" also has a Lancaster file and may be able to find the reference to this gun.

My further replies about this gun are on the PGCA site where Mr. K. also posted.

I do have a brochure that I think, from memory, shows this gun. I'll try to dig it out. Daryl

James - I can't help you much but I want to congratulate you on buying this gun....usually high profile guns like this never hit the market. Just curious, how did you find it?
I'm still a bit PO'd at you for winning my 16 ga 36" gun in the Julia Auction a while back....I bid far more than you paid for it but I had a three gun limit so by the time the 16 came up I had stopped bidding!

Robert, I believe that Jim Kucaba noted in his posts on the PGCA site that the silver medallion in the stock had been removed. If you can provide him with a close-up view of the medallion showing enough detail, I believe he wishes to have it replicated by a silversmith and re-inserted into the stock. Here's a hyper-link to the PGCA thread which you'll find of interest. http://www.parkergun.org/forums/forum1/4629-1.htmlMerry Christmas to all...to all a good night!

Sharps, Here is about the best I can get it.. I would think the old Dutchman would be a good smith to have it done by...he also makes parts for old German stiens...here is two Baker watch fobs he made with raised lettering (if that's what the medalllion actually is) When you say the Medallion was removed...do you mean when Sam Koch restocked it? Not that I know the first thing about Peck or Parkers, but you can't miss Sam's beavertail cheekpiece.

Robert, Jim Kucaba will have to answer all questions. I am only aware of what he posted here and on the PGCA site. He simply noted that the space in the stock where the medallion was inset is now empty and thought he might be able to replicate the original. Probably best to visit the PGCA site and or use the contact information at the top of this thread and correspond directly with him. Thanks for your efforts.

I have sent the owner a copy of the Infallible catalog picture with a fairly clear image of the medallion, at least clear enough to make a duplicate. Let's hear more about Sam Koch, where and when he worked and for whom. The beaded magnum cheekpiece in the new stock is quite a piece of work. Thanks.
