Where does it lie in the range of shot sizes? I found a box from some years ago and have no idea what it's good for, geese, ducks, pterodactyls?

I believe the order is #bird shot sizes,4,2,bb,b,t? It is used for geese on the rivers and I think it is the largest LEGAL steel? I maybe wrong. I am going from memory!

"T" shot is .20 "diameter, if its lead. I thjink the steel shot and the lead shot are the same size. As lead, there are 36 to the ounce, so steel ought to be about 43 to the ounce. I suspect they are used for long range geese.
How you get an effective pattern out of 63-68 pellets is beyond me.
T is 2 sizes bigger than BB shot ( 0.18" dia) and one size bigger than BBB ( 0.19").

In the past i have used 'T' steel for geese with good results up to 35 yds. The 'T' just blew right thru a Canada. I even got two with one shot on decoyed geese at 35 yds. With the advent of much better Non-Tox, steel 'T' shot is not needed anymore. In fact steel is not needed anymore. Bismuth, Kent TM and HeviShot among others are much more effective than steel. HeviShot does make a 'T' size load called the 'Dead Coyote'. Took a 12# Canada at 55 yds yesterday with one. Very effective on pass shooting. Of course, the so called arm chair 'Experts' will deride any shot like that.-Dick

No deriding here, sounds like a nicely placed shot to me.
Have some friends who have consistently been taking geese, Lesser Canadas mostly, some Specks/Snows/Blues, with steel 'T's' as they leave a private lake in the greater Knox City, Texas area that they are inclined to roost on in the winters here. They have had good success using it. I do not have personal experience using the steel 'T' size shot on geese, but these guys have shot a bunch of them and the steel 'T's' are their prefered shot size for the purpose. It is all high elevation pass shooting where the birds are 50~60 yards directly overhead. They do not bother the birds while they are on or around the lake proper, rather waiting for them to leave and then taking them on the way out from a miles's distance ... from the lake, not the range of the shots .. tho at 50~60 yards directly overhead I'm sure it would look like a mile to many.

I have asituation like that, I may have to give it a try. Thanks to all. Rob
