I bought some Eley shotgun ammunition a little over a year ago and now want to buy some more. The outfit I dealt with over the internet was based in Texas and now is out of business.

Does anyone know where to buy Eley shotgun ammunition in the USA? All I can find is a British site that doesn't return my e-mail questions about USA dealers.

Thanks,
Paul

Have you tried their 'High Pheasant' 65mm shells. For our convenience each box has shot size in mm listed!
Why, are you English? You know since the Godfather movies came out it's cool to buy Italian things. Did you know that when Romans had an Empire English lived in mud huts?

Paul: I also bought some of the excellent Eley Grand Prix shells on close out from the gentleman in Austin. I've not been able to locate any Eley shotshell dealer in the US for the last year.

You might want to look at the Kent Gamebore shells as alternatives. I shot the Eley Grand Prix, 30 gram Brit 6's, on pheasants last year (with impressive results) until I ran out. Have switched to the same thing, Kent Gamebore Pure Gold (paper hull) with the same impressive results.

No Eley or ARMUSA in the States at present. Recommend B&P or Kent Gamebore if you don't like Polywad and RST.

I had a feeling that this request would come up empty on the Eley's but I thought it worth a try.

I do use RST's and like them. I also like the Kent line of ammunition but I haven't used the game bore yet. I'll give it a try.

To bad about the Eley's they are the some of the cleanest ammo I've ever shot and really did a great job on pheasants.

dogon, I hated it when my supply of Eley Grand Prix ran out. But after switching to the Kent Gamebore Pure Golds, I can't say I've noticed any dropoff in performance. The pheasants don't seem to notice the difference either!

Sound good Larry I'll give the gamebore's a try. Where do you find the best place to buy them?

The Gamebore loads have a paper hull and "fibre wad" which I assume means no plastic shot protector. At least in my .007 and .014 16g LC Smith, the patterns were a bit wider than the Eley Grand Prix and Federal Game Shok loads.
