Hello. New on the forum. I have a W&C Scott 10 ga hammer gun damascus barrels about 30" long. Barrel rib is marked "Bogardus Club Gun". Thanks for any information and insight on this gun.

Welcome to the board.
As I recall, a mid-grade gun intended for live pigeon club shooting. If the gun is is in shootable condition, it will make a very fine vintage piece; most vintage shoots include 10 bore hammer events. Bit on the heavy side for normal upland game shooting.

I would like to see this gun as well. I have two Scott twelve ga. hammer guns with the same engraveing on the top rib.
I think that it woule be to far a stretch to find a third in 12ga. to make a triple. Both of mine were made in 1884 and 85.
If you post the s/n I can tell you what year your gun was made.
If your are going to case your gun in a hard side case I have a few case labels I can duplicate and send along to you.

Hello Gordon, Could I perhaps take you up on your offer re the Scott case labels. I have 4 Scotts running from 1877 to 1909 and will likely be casing them in the future.I have a selection of repro labels from other makers,perhaps we can do a little swapping if there is something that you need??
