I'd be open to a homework assignment of, say, 10 common guns that would/should be of interest and generally available for a run to the local dealer so you can recalibrate yourself from time to time.

Since machines are not commonly available, I agree that we need som benchmarks.

A point on learning. I, personally, don't learn mathematics very fast. It is necessary for me to visit a mathematical concept several times before it really sinks in and stays put. Please, give yourselves sufficient time to learn and understand the presented concepts. Weight and balance are day-to-day concepts and quantifications. Inertia is generally known, but it is rarely quantified as moment of inertia. Patience, the learning will come in due time.

Don,
Thank you for your time and patience with us mere mortals.
I 'think' I understand the numbers and the science. At least I am not getting beat up about it.
The reason for mentioning the K80 was borne from an experience I had 2 years ago.
I have been known to break one or two clays, and manufacturers have offered me their wares to break clays with.
I was given a K gun to use, instantly I commented on how 'dead' it felt.Used it for 4 months and ruined my form, never could get on with it even though I had 3 stocks and the World's titanium resources thrown at it.
I had an intuitive feeling from day one that the 'K' was not for me.
The reason I have mentioned the Guerini is that a friend is a 'works' sponsored Guerini user and I have tried that and it is chalk and cheese different to a 'K' gun.

Getting back to SxS's many people aspire to owning a Boss, but once they own one I have met many people who don't like the handling, complaining that they are 'lively' and require a noticable conscious effort to remount for the second shot.I once had the opportunity to use one for a day and it did knock me about a little.

I'll look for a G-gun to spin and you look for P-gun to swing around a bit. I'll post some numbers and you post some subjective impressions.

I've a notion that over the years we all build up muscle memory. When you impose a unlearned/unmemorized set of handling numbers, you may get a revolt in the various muscles and fire control center. I'm sure we all unlearn, learn, and relearn at differing rates. Is there a doctor in the house??

Light and fast is not always the answer. Heavy and slow is not either. The name on the gun alone isn't going to change your shooting ability. A gun unsuited to the purpose at hand or the individual shooting it will not be shot well or will not be enjoyed or both!
