Grousewoods, it's possible they'd go nontox on woodcock, although given the statement about the forested part of the state (where the vast majority of the woodcock hunting takes place), I don't think that's going to happen. At least not soon. But you never know. Nontox is not required for woodcock in Iowa, but it is required for snipe and rail--both of which are also migratory. However, snipe and rail are much more closely associated with waterfowl habitat than are woodcock.
Look for a push for a woodcock stamp to appear shortly in several magazines.
