Before I ask, please understand I am certainly not trying to be negative. I have always liked the thought of a double slug gun, but really more in line with a Paradox type or bore rifle.
My question is, what is your personal draw to the Beretta slug gun? I doubt that Beretta gallery is going to give anyone a super price on a special order for a small number of specialized guns. Given the normal cost of a volume imported 471 and the cost of sights and regulation, I suspect that the cost will be pretty stiff, maybe around $5k. I know that I waited too long on a 689, many of which I saw trading new at dealers for around $6k, and when I called the Gallery, they wanted over $9k.
The Sabatti is a yoeman gun, but sound mechanically by a decent maker and it is available at $1150. I am one of the people in the group order for the Chapuis at AR. I don't want to publicly give the price that Dale is selling these for, but I will say I am getting the 9.3 with custom stock dimensions, ejectors, tip off rings and a case colored reciever without the chicken scratch engraving for around the street price of a standard 471.
Don't take this as a slam or raining on anyone's parade. Just interested in understanding what the drive for a $500 smoothbore slug gun is to several people.
