btw, I just took another look at the work, and like the look of the stock finish. As a wood finisher by trade, I'm always interested in info about a good job. For a deep sheen, I generally use a base/sealer combo of thin oil/varnish, then a French polish method to fill and level, and finish off with a little -- very little, traditional style oil mix, if it is to be a 'soft' look.

If you like, would you mind discussing y'r finish process/material? Not a burning necessity, but just curious.
