Hi all, does anyone out there have a gun by this maker from Birmingham? If so what are your thoughts on it or anyone else for that matter.

Greg I've owned 3 guns by Lewis. All were well made boxlocks. He offered guns in all ranges. I've really liked all of the ones I've owned. Lewis's guns are ones that "buy the gun" is apt. None of mine were top of the line but all were well made, nicely engraved, and didn't cost an arm and a leg.

Lewis guns will be quite honest to their appearance. Better guns will have better wood and engraving. Plain guns will be of sound materials and craftsmanship. No hidden high quality and no tarted up low quality.

I owned a nice GE BLE waterfowl gun. Sorry I got rid of it. I've never heard anything bad about any of his work.
