The Perks patent action as used on the Scott guns cocks both barrels simultaneously. Another gun of mine, featuring the Perks patent, a side lock ejector, by Thomas Horsley, serial #3134 made in 1889, also cocks both barrels simultaneously. In this example there are no "bobbles". This gun is featured/pictured on page 137, of the book; "Thomas Horsley, Gunmaker of York", by David Baker.David also reviews the actions use by Boss and Blanch. In David,s opinion Scott not only used the Perks patent on their own guns but were the principal supplier of actions to other makers of the period.
