I would think its a fund raiser with the proceeds going to help the new association in its continued A.H. Fox research. If you just want to shoot there are places that charge just $4 a round for trap or wobble but that really doesn't help further the objectives of the Fox collectors.
Kind of like the HOAL/Fisher House raffle........unless you win you don't get anything tangible. Value is not always measured in dollars and I've found that its often the intangibles that enrich your life.
