Whomever did the animal engraving should have stcuck with just the floral. I guess it is a wolf with a Tapers snout. Other than that a nice example.

I would be much more interested in seeing a Callahan letter describing the decoration on that gun than a letter from Rudy Kautsky. Rudy Kautsky comes from a family of trapshooters and gun dealers. Nothing wrong with that as long as some additional provenance is present.

I am sure the gun is what they claim it is. That letter is nearly worthless. It is not dated never mentions the gun's serial number.

I agree about the engraving. They should have never done the wild life scenes.

Interesting checkering pattern. I can't get over the white line spacer....

One would expect to find a K or L grade SBT custom job, from this trap-shooting clan but this gun looks more like a twisted sister, "D/X" hybrid?? Yes, would be interesting to see JC's stats on this one.---TM

I used to buy stuff from RIA but had a lot of trouble with items that weren't described accurately. They won't take anything back unless the item title is incorrect. So now I don't buy from them at all.

Pot belly geese, blimpo quail and the rare fox- ant eater cross. What more rare animals could a Fox collector want in engraving. Should have stuck to scroll or vines or anything else that they could do well, because these animals were not on that list.
