Some of the trap shooters like 'em, but, if you are looking at the beads hard enough to see them lined up when you pull the trigger, you are going to miss the bird. I have a 'coupla Mossberg beaters that came with them, and have just been too lazy to take them out, but, if you ignore them anyway, they don't hurt anything.
