RBL 260 arrived today,1yr,1month and 3days from order confirmation. Splinter, pistol,EX Turkish.
Has ALL the engraveing (I ask for it in an email)
Some wondered about the chokes, heres a pic, threads go in last. Pics don't do the engraveing or wood justice, looks better in person. Overall Iam happy, there are a few miner things I could grouse about, but then not too many things are perfect in this world. If anyone has a question or would like to see a pic of something just post.

I too ordered exhibition Turkish. I would like to hear from members to see if this is truly EX. Turkish as promised. Since most Ex. Turk blanks I have seen cost as much as the gun itself.-IM

I purchased two blanks from Denli for 275 and 350. Both were better yhan shown above. It was a DIY project and I still ended up with 1000 in a K-80 stock and forend. Check photo's of the blanks at Denli for all grades.

I think Tony ought to be considered for Sainthood after all of the crap he has to put up with his customers. I just don't know how they deal with it. I surely couldn't do it. I would charge 10 grand for the shotgun just to compensate for all of the grief he must get about 1 year back orders, wood being exhibition Turkish , etc... Hang in there Tony!!!

I'd like to see pictures of the water table and barrel flats. Just curious as to the markings on each and how they were done. The little I can see from your third picture interests me. I like the markings on the choke tubes, none of those cryptic notches that Beretta and Browning use, I have to carry around a card to decipher them. And how does that wrench work?

Thanks, Rob

The wrench is tapered and a friction fit. Eliminates tube notches and works great!-Dick

I'm not trying to knock anything here but I have a question about the engraving shown. Is it hand cut or machine cut? I haven't seen engraving that looked like that before except on modern machine engraved guns.

Recoil Rob, here you go.

Dick, the wrench works great, really gets a grip on the tube.

Superlight, you hit the nail on the head, from my one phone conversation I could tell Tony and the gang have put up with alot. And any complaints I would have with the gun are due to someone being in a hurry.Quality of the guns can only suffer if hurried.

Mike, some kind of machine work, maybe somone will recignize it from the pic. Took about 20 tries under 5X mag to capture it. Each of the shade lines start or ends with a bright pin prick dot.You don't notice it without magnification. I like the engraveing,I personally wouldn't expect much more for the price.

Improved Mod, with the depth of the clear coat it's hard to capture all the lines and figure in the wood.Outside in the sun it really comes alive. If I can find some better lighting I'll
see if I can get a better pic.

Last year, Lou told me the engraving process was photo-chemical etching - like the Miroku process for the high grade Citoris. That wouldn't explain the pin pricks.
