There is hope. In Bath County Virginia the public schools still get off the first day of firearms (deer) season. And yes, the kids take their guns to school, but keep them locked in their car/truck. This could change as soon as the Northern Virginia crowd starts to move in, but hopefully this is far into the future. The handwringers in this country do a good job of keeping everyone whipped up in a fearful frenzy, and there are plenty from both parties. There is no better way to teach a kid responsiblity than teach him/her gun safety and how to shoot.

And no, I don't think Michael Savage is part of the problem.
