First I would like to say THANK YOU to all of the members who have helped me by giving a lot of knowledge that I would never have found with out your imput. You have never failed me since I first posted last year. I just got interested and started buying rabbit eared shotguns with no knowledge of what I was doing. So far so good, I guess. I just got a call from someone who heard I was buying and wants to sell me a matched pair of 16ga. Rabbit eared Husqvarna-mod. Vapenfabrik. Also a Stevens Arms Model 235 12 ga. Any info anyone could provide about the above two would be appreciated. It sounded like a lawn mower or chain saw to me. Thanks Again Ernie

Ernie: Husqvarna purchased Sauer frames for some of their models. If you had the serial number, you could enter it in this site: http://www.weiss-trading.com/SerialNr/YoM.html and get a date. Kind Regards, Raimey rse

You need to get the model numbers and serial numbers for the Husqvarnas and I can give you some info (date produced, maybe number of that model produced, etc). Husqvarna hammerguns went from real basic "farmers guns" to some very nice guns. If they are a true matched pair, that might be a rare find.
Take care,
Mike

I called and got the seriel numbers which are no where close so I don't beleive they are a matched pair. Seriel numbers are 19715 and 805 but don't have any idea of what model. Where do you look to find the model name or number??

The 19715 serial number is between 1884 - 1890. The link listed above might give you a more exact estimate.
The model number is usually on the action flats. It could be a two digit number with or without a letter following it or a three digit number (starting with a one) with or without a letter or two after it. If you get a decription or picture of the action and locks, that will help too.
Keep trying!
Mike
