IM Here is a pic of the dogs on the left side. There are seven altogether along with birds, deer, flowers and scroll I'm trying a new camera so this is good practise for me. Would it be better to email the next set of pics so I do not monopolize this entire thread? Paul

JBI set Oscar up with Jimmy years ago when he moved from Tyler TX to IL. Down here he was the go to guy if you needed your Fabbri bird gun touched up - yes he's that good!

I really like the early Parkers that have the vignettes on the sides and bottom like the pictured gun. All grades above Grade 2 are known to have them on the occasional gun, some in fairly deep relief. The full coverage guns with hidden game scenes are wonderful too, for engravers that do them well. They look like real rocket science compared to standard stand alone game scenes.

Here are a few more pics. The lighting is a bit different. I hope they help. Paul [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img]

If I were going to be doing a Parker Repro A-1 Special, Geoffroy Gournet is the first engraver I would contact, he was the sole Parker Reproduction engraver for more than 15 years. Here's a link to his page of many Parker examples:http://www.gournetusa.com/prod01.htm

Gournet has talent but you have to reign him in...some of the Parkers he's done are a tad extreme.
