Really? I'm shocked!!!!!!
BTW, No choke markings on the barrel is not odd or unusual.

Neither is seeing an old Winchester with 2 9/16 on the barrel. Remember just last week the Custom Trap 21 that didn't have trap engraved under the receiver that you thought was so unusual? Stick around. You'll learn.

Jimmy, I'm willing to learn, but I want to see some proof. If there were factory stamped 2 9/16" barrels, lets see some pictures. Also, if they are stamped that way, how do we know it wasn't done after market and why doesn't any of the reference book address it?

You guys want pictures of everything people see, but you have to remember you can't take always cameras into the gun shows (I)you go to. I can only tell what I have seen or have written down. But finding unusual stampings (or no stampings where they are supposed to be) on Winchesters will never surprise me or be that unusual. At least it won't make it that more valuable than an average one. Plus I have learned whenever you ask someone who is supposed to be knowledgeable, he will usually have a different story than the next guy who is supposed to be knowledgeable on the subject. Good luck.
