I was going to withhold my opinion on the PGCA site and members, as I have been banned from the site. However, your comments regarding George L. point out the great difference between this site and PGCA. George was able to post his items and a spirited discussion ensued. In the end George was not banned from the site. Had the same discussion occured on the PGCA site, he would have been banned. I have found that the members of the DGBBS are tolerant and open to discussion, and the the members of the PGCA are intolerant, ancient, and ossified.

If you ever dealt with theft whilst gone- or intruder that terrorized your wife or kids - you'll better understand why not to advertise your name or guns or whereabouts to anyone in the world with a computer. The poster who talked about the IP locator sites is mistaken. Yes some give the lattitude and longitude but it's THE SERVER LOCATION, not the location of the home computer. Regarding slander by anonymous posters if you really think you were slandered then start a lawsuit. Internet providers can give the name and address of those that crossed the line to the proper authorities.

Dearest GregSY: Thank you for your heartfelt comments. I was not aware, as you know, that I was "clogging up" the for-sale part of this forum. I thought that's what it was for you see.Since then, you will note, I have not posted any more guns for sale. I have sold a good many of those previously posted here by other means. Apparently I was "black balled" by those posting here for other than a few derogatory comments no one here seemed interested in what I had.

As to posting my personal information here for all the world to see I have only this to say: "I'LL SHOW YOU MINE IF YOU SHOW ME YOURS".

No George, you are the one who has to "show us yours"....since you are the one who has no problem with exposing yourself on the internet. I am of just the opposite opinion. See how it works?

It's even more hilarious to follow the sister thread on the PGCA site...we've got the Bernard lawyer who knows it all (but is wrong about it all) and two camps - the guys who are smart enough to know that using real names is generally begging trouble and the tough guys who would welcome to chance to shoot an intruder with their Parker. Tough talk for sure but when Tough Guys are not home I hope their 105lbs. wife will know what to do when a couple guys who spent 6 of the past 10 years in the federal pen come calling.

For that fact, I don't know of a single double gun Tough Guy who could handle a professional thug. Unlike pheasants in South Dakota, thugs can shoot back.

I love the argument 'we don't know of a single instance when someone used the internet to track down a gun owner'. Who wants to be first? It's like the guy who says 'I always have unprotected sex and haven't caught anything yet.'

Come on guys lets just use some common sense here and drop this topic. IF I were one of the guys just out of jail or a guy out on his luck just by reading this form and the other I have picked up more ways to steal and track people than I can think of myself .You guys are doing their work for them. Kinda like you build it they will come you talk about it and it will happen. Just like the media they need to quit,reporting all the stuff they report what I mean is The copy cat stuff one idot trying to outdo another. Hell guys we are fighting among ourselfs about this and we are legal gun owners I HOPE ,and I think even some of us must know each other. I mean no harm to anyone THANK YOU PLUMBER.

I don't know many of the personalities over there and that wasn't my reason for starting this thread anyway. I am still incredulous that ANY Forum where high priced items are being discussed would require that you publicly use your real name!

Dearest GregSY: Opinions are like (well I'm sure you know what) everybody seems to have one and you are entitled to yours. As to talk, you seem to be the resident champion. Never one to espouse the taking of unnecessary risks, I still & all choose not to hide behind psuedonyms as some do & that's my choice. America is still the greatest country in the world & being it's proud citizen I choose not to run & hide. I am very easy to find & all of you of good will are welcome to come & visit. Those of you who are not of good will had best stay away.
