By the way, Dig. The camp etiquette for guinea fowl tends to be a little different from the fields we know and love. The boys are almost inevitably rather hungry for meat and they like you to sluice them on the ground. 1/1 is NOT up to the mark, they like 3 or 4. They regard wingshooting as inefficient and a waste of expensive and hard to get cartridges. I've evenutally worked out a compromise where I'm allowed to use the second barrel on the wing...if I've hit some with the first. Beware the muttered phrase, "The bwanas cannot shoot." Soon after comes insurrection and bloody war.
