smle, the "Beretta importer" today is Beretta USA. But guns from the GR or 424 era would have been imported by previous importers. Beretta USA is a relatively recent creation.

The original Silver Hawks were basically 409's, "tweaked" a bit for the US market. Matter of fact, if you take the forearm off an early Silver Hawk, you'll find it's marked 409 in the wood.

most of the Beretta sxs's I have personally seen have been 409's a few 410's the odd 411 I don't think I have ever seen a 626? there were a few of the later style 470 471's but they sold for about $4000 so not a lot were purchased espiecally when you could by an U/O for about half that
