I've haven't seen any comments re: the new Robertson shotgun and I'm chimming in. I spirited away the new Robertson side-plated box lock SXS for Rocketman to spin during the recent Southern SXS. I told Tom Bryant of Cabella's that I may not wish to return the gun - his comments were; "thats OK, I know where you live".
My first impressions of the gun are very favorable. The fit and finish is excellent. Raising the stock to the action with light hand pressure on the toe of the butt stock - the gun locks up with a quality sounding click. Boss has provided fine engraving, metal to wood fit, barrel striking, and overall fine finishing.
I understand that this 6 1/2lb, 28 inch barrel, with auto ejectors will only be provided with a Boss designed single inertia trigger. I only wish that I had the $17,000 required to purchase this new gun.
I believe that Rocketman is now out of the county; however, he intends to provide the details re: his spin testing.
