The simple fact that the barrels are serial numbered means there is a Parker out there that is only one-half original. What ever the reason for a previous owner's decision to jettison the barrels, reuniting original barrels and action as they left the factory is an act of preserving the history of the piece... priceless to anyone with a collector's sense...even if the whole gun is a wreck and has no monetary value at least it would once again be original.
