I had a "Bizarro" comic taped to my toolbox at work depicting, presumably, Mr. Heston in a casket holding a gun. The undertaker was saying, "we can't get the lid closed until we pry that thing from his hands". This was an admiring kind of humor and it was under a "Charleton Heston is My President" bumper sticker. I'd like to think he is still fighting for our rights with the work he did and the foundation he laid. My condolences to his family as we all share their loss. On a second note, a former co-worker with a delinquent past told me a story of how he and another kid broke into a funeral home in their teens. In the basement embalming room, they found a paper bag full of gold teeth, gold bridgework, fillings, wedding rings, etc. He found it amusing that although they stole this bag of gold, their crime apparently wasn't reported to police since no report ever showed up in the local paper. So much for the notion of being buried with anything of value. P.S., I do know about things like putting separate thoughts into separate paragraphs... just haven't figured out how to do it here.
