Funny thing about this gun; the numbers match on barrels, water table, inside of trigger plate as viewed through the top of the action but the number on the guard is off by 100. I think the engraver had one too many at lunch time. i seriously doubt the guard is a replacement and just happened to be exactly 100 off. I could see maybe if the guard was a totally different number but more than likely he made the 2 a 3 by accident.!!!
