If any of you are ever in downtown Chicago go down to the lower level of Michigan Ave around the 400 North block where the train tracks go under the city. If you look on the building just before you enter the parking garage you'll see the Hibbard Spencer& Bartlett plaque which is still attached to the building.
I suspect this was their corporate headquarters many years ago.
BTW: Some of their guns were made up as "Hibspebars" and so marked.
