Mike was correct. Absolutely nothing posted on the web or written in a book will make your gun safe to shoot. Only inspection by a qualified gunsmith and your own best judgement based on the report of the gunsmith is the deciding factor.

If the gun has not been inspected and the barrels measured by a professional consider the gun unsafe. The name on the rib or type of steel means nothing until this is done.
