Mike- glad your weapon arrived- I measured all of the hammers (I have three almost identical) for a sidelocked hammer shotgun- and I think I have one that will fit- I forgot- do you need a RH or a LH hammer? perhaps some minor filing-do you also have the size of the square axle hole in the hammer-and do you need the axle and tumbler (the internal part that engages the cocking spring and also the sear trip-I have cleaned up most all of the small parts in the olde "cigar box"- if you care to list an address herein- I'll send the hammer-anything else you need I might have- to you gratis-just reimburse Dave Weber the shipping cost once you have received it-Fair enuf??

Sounds more than fair to me. The hole measures .2". A small axle. If you have any good hammer screws they would help as both are buggered. Thanks

Good enough for me Mike- I'll send you both a RH and LH hammer- aprox. 1.25" dim Arc point to c of squared hole- those are .215/.218" nominal- filed them to remove burrs, they are right now "micrometer sticky tight" so there is room for your "final fitting" both hammers are "file hard" I've done a fair amount of TIG welding on tool steels (air, water and oil hdn. grades) and to weld an older unknown grade of steel without first annealing- I'd prefer low temp. brazing if possible-if you are fixing a "shooter" not restoring a museum piece. also advise if you or your pals up in AK need other parts from my "stash" if so, same deal goes for them too.Sorry, could NOT find any hammer screws for you, perhaps Brownells could help?? Best-- RWTF

RWTF the hammers arrived today. Thanks. Unfortuneately they won't work. Just about everything is differnt. I just needed one to fill in while I got the original fixed. Looks like I just won't shoot it until the hammers come back. If anyone needs some spare hammers let me know. I'll pass them on.

Hey Mike- no harm, no foul-surprised they got to you so quickly via "snail-mail" It was a "crap shoot" but sure, if another guy here or elsewhere can use them, please pass them on to him. You have a Lodge in AK- where? I am saving for a trip to your State someday- may have to look you up. RWTF
