Born in SW Iowa in a town of 6000. Hunted squirels and rabbits early on, and then , in the mid 50s an ocassional pheasant . Loved hunting on Sundays with a local fox hunting club. In the soil bank days of the 60s, pheasants were almost eveywhere and I was in college in mid Iowa, hunting waterfowl and pheasants. Went to South Dakota Black Hills after my BS in 1967 and enjoyed the variety of game, elk, deer on the prarie, white tails, antelope , waterfowl, sharptails, prarie chickens, Huns, and pheasants. Moved to Alaska in 71 and did everything the state had to offer for 30 years. Now in Montana , enjoying deer and antelope and upland birds from Canada to Mexico and all parts in between. Enjoy using vintage doubles and GWP dogs in all venues.
