They also wouldn't have to sweat about losing their earnest money.

I'm not so confident about the RBL business model being viable. Looks like they'll be collectables in a few years.

As a person that has ordered and purchased not only an RBL(I have mine) but other custom shotguns from US manufacturers, I can unequivocalbly tell you that the other US manufacturers do not understand the needs of the double gun shooter. The wood I have been offered and in one case delivered was just awful. I am still dealing with one stock for over 6 months which shall hopefully soon be resolved. What I have not done is BROADCAST this particular problem over the Internet but have chosen to work with the company. The large firearms companies are driven by the 'Bean Counters' and the bottom line is the only thing that is important. An exhibition piece of Black Walnut that I recieved on my RBL would never be allowed by any of these companies. Tony has control of CSMC(I don't believe they are Public) and he knows collectors and shooters as well as good wood. I know of no US company that can produce the shotguns that Tony is making and the RBL. All the others before him have produced some guns and subsequently failed. All the others depended on foreign manufactured actions and barrels. The big US companies have watched this happen and have chosen to go the mass produced route and not enter the Custom or semi-custom market. When Remington wants to bring back the Parker, who do they chose to make it, CSMC.
Try to order a custom firearm from any other US manufacture and you will quickly find out why CSMC is suceeding.-Dick
