last april i was visiting my folks and driving through sun city west az at 5pm and two yotes were cruising thru da hood. coulda shoulda did a drive by on em. last year two of them were lounging in my back yard, a suburb of seattle. their numbers are increasing because they are adjusting to the encroachment of humans in their territory. yotes are a threat to lives and property; maybe not as great a threat as mountain lions but still a threat. native north americans consider yotes sacred and although i dont think much of the indian culture that belief sticks with me. i'll shoot at a yote if one crosses me during my hunting for small game but i dont hunt specifically for them. i dont mind if someone else hunts them as their population seems on the rise. it doesn't matter if it is a shot up the butt or a head shot the puts them down as they are down at the end of the day anyway.
