I'm impressed. How's the crop looking this year?

Dog better have a good nose to hunt that field.

My problem lies in reconciling my gross habits with my net income.

Thank you all for the great comments (except LG as always). Our wheat looks good, we will start to find out in about 10 days. The place in the background is our nearest neighbor. The pic was taken from the top of the 100 yard range backstop in our yard.

I love the wide expanses of Kansas, Nebraska and the Dakota's.
It sets my heart at ease especially after dealing with urban sprawl and large cities.

A.W. I'll second that thought- Farmers are the hardest working folks in the world- and the farmer does you a favor letting you hunt his land- Reminds me of my favorite of GSJ's hunting stories- Fall 1977- Jack Curtis' "The Prairie Queen"- his story took place in Yankton, SD- all great country from Iowa west to Montana- darn fine people too- treat them right and they'll most likely give you permission to hunt their lands. I did notice the absence of trees- bet those winter "Chinook" winds are fierce!!

Love it. I'll take it off your hands. No trees needed.

Good on ya!

I wish you could sell it to the OPEC countries for $150 a bushel!

Interesting thought Mike. The last US News & World Report had an article about the OPEC nation's dependence on foreign food. They are now buying or long term leasing farm land in India, South American, and Russia as fast as they can. As alternative fuel sources are developed, the market for OPEC oil will diminish. Can't eat crude.
