I bought a Dehaan SO Model 12 Ga. about 5 or 6 years ago for informal clays shooting. I use my vintage guns at the VC and other SXS events but I needed something to leave in the trunk of my car so I could shoot after work whenever I had time. The Dehaan guns are made by the same folks who make the CZ guns. I did find the trigger pulls a little hard but after I pulled the stock and lubed the sear notches with a little space age lube the pulls eased considerably. I also polished the stock a little because they had knocked back the finish and I wanted it a little brighter. I've been shooting the gun regularly since and like it very much. It looks good and I receive many compliments. Quite a few people think its a Beretta.

At about 5,000 rounds the right firing pin needed to be replaced and at about 7,000 I went ahead and did the left before I had any problems. I could have sent it to Dehaan but it was faster to do it myself. I believe the problems with the trigger pulls and the firing pins have been corrected in newer guns.

I have lots of doubles and have been shooting SXS's for 35 years and I think these Turkish guns are a good guns and a bargain. Just so you know I have guns by most of the American makers and a few British guns as well. None of which I'd leave in the trunk of my car all summer.

I paid $650 for my Dehaan and I 've gotten my monies worth.
